Terms of Service

The comprehensive legal agreement governing your use of the Salp.shop marketplace.

1. Introduction and Scope

Welcome to Salp.shop (the "Platform"). These Terms and Conditions constitute a legally binding agreement between you ("the User" or "the Customer") and Salp.shop ("we," "us," or "our"). By accessing or using our website, you agree to be bound by these terms.

2. The MEGA Marketplace Model

Salp.shop operates as a multi-vendor marketplace platform. We provide the infrastructure for verified European Makers ("Vendors") to sell their products directly to European Consumers. Under this model:

  • The Contract of Sale: When you purchase a product, the legal contract of sale is formed directly between you and the respective Vendor. Salp.shop is NOT the seller and is not a party to that transaction.
  • Verification: We use the MEGA (Make Europe Great Again) standard to verify that every brand on our platform is legally established in Europe and adheres to EU labor and safety standards.

3. User Account and Conduct

To access certain features, you must create an account. You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your credentials. You agree not to use the platform for any fraudulent or illegal purposes, including the infringement of intellectual property rights.

4. Pricing and Payments

All prices listed on the Platform are in Euros (€) and include VAT where applicable, unless otherwise stated. Payments are processed securely via our payment service provider, Stripe. By completing a purchase, you authorize the charge to your selected payment method.

5. Limitation of Liability

Salp.shop acts as an intermediary. To the maximum extent permitted by law, we shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the platform or any products purchased from Vendors. Liability for product defects lies solely with the Vendor.

6. Intellectual Property

The Salp.shop brand, logo, and all proprietary technology are the intellectual property of Salp.shop. You may not reproduce, distribute, or create derivative works without our express written consent.

7. Governing Law and Jurisdiction

These terms are governed by the laws of the Netherlands. Any disputes shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts in Amsterdam, Netherlands.

Electronic Communications

When you use the Platform or send emails to us, you are communicating with us electronically. We will communicate with you by email or by posting notices on the Platform.

Amendments to Terms

We reserve the right to modify these terms at any time. Changes will be effective immediately upon posting. Your continued use of the platform after changes constitutes acceptance.
